Gaining Ground

Have you ever felt like the ground was coming from underneath you…slipping away and you grasp at the air…trying to steady yourself and get a hold of things?

This is how I’ve been feeling for the past few months. Have had some big projects to handle and milestones to celebrate. Everything from getting A’s in my specialist degree program, the wedding of good friends, to presenting at a professional conference and the Hubbs big 4-0…which will have Part Deux soon! So as you see, although wonderful things, I’ve been quite busy. However, with the arrival of Gratitude Season and the Holidays, I am forcing myself to stop…smell the coffee…notice the color purple…and be still. I need to regain my roots, get grounded, and focus. I want to do this so that I can appreciate life more and be a part of it instead it passing me by.

I still have my surgery/procedure coming up and about a 6 week recovery where I will have to slow down. So I’m going to take that opportunity to write more, building up peace and abundance  in my life with the Deepak Chopra’s 21 Day Mediation Challenge as well (suggestion of a good Soror and blogger friend). I’m always excited to have my time to “cocoon” and set things straight again. What do you do to gain ground and get your footing again?? Share…inspire…

Peace, Life, Love, Faith

  1. It’s ironic that you’re planning to slow down during your recovery period. That’s how I got started back on my blog and reading/writing; I’ve been out on medical leave! LOL! This time off has given me the clarity I needed to make difficult decisions and the time to refresh my spirit. Take advantage of the time you have to enjoy life now and live in the present!!
